Founded in 1919, AUC's campus is currently located in Cairo, Egypt, but will be moving to a new, state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo beginning Fall Semester, 2008 (see the New Campus website at http://www.aucegypt.edu/ncd/updates.html). AUC is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Engineering programs are accredited by ABET and the Management program is accredited by AACSB. Baruch College's Writing Center provides an innovative and professional environment for undergraduate students to develop and strengthen their writing and English language skills in the context of their assignments and course goals. Closely connected to academic departments and other college academic support units, the Writing Center is a key component in an undergraduate education committed to student writing.
