The Department of English at Butler University invites applications for the position of Lecturer. This is a full-time, nine-month, renewable appointment. The successful candidate will teach primarily in the first-year seminar, with additional duties in courses aligned with the successful candidate’s experience (e.g. creative writing, advanced composition, or sophomore literature courses). Successful candidates will possess a PhD, MFA, or MA in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Creative Writing; formal teaching experience is highly desirable.
