The Women’s Studies Program at Purdue University invites applications for the position of Director, effective August, 2006. The Women’s Studies Program, established in 1979, is an interdisciplinary academic program in the College of Liberal Arts. The program offers an undergraduate major and minor and a graduate minor curriculum. Courses are offered in feminist theory; interdisciplinary studies in sexualities; gender and multiculturalism; and global feminism, as well as a variety of specialized and advanced courses in areas of faculty interest. The program currently has eight joint-appointed faculty and more than 40 affiliated faculty and has received strong support from the College of Liberal Arts.

Tenure-track position in English Education with specializations in incorporating technology in Language Arts instruction and one or more of the following areas: literacy and learning theory; planning instruction for diverse learners; writing and writing assessment. Experience in middle or high school required. Ph.D. required.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology seeks an assessment consultant to evaluate its undergraduate Communication Requirement. The Communication Requirement focuses on developing both written and oral communication skills at the general level and in the student's major field of study. Students are expected to take four Communication Intensive Subjects (CI) sequenced throughout their undergraduate program.
