The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University seeks to fill a full-time (9-month) Visiting Faculty position beginning in August 2018. The ideal candidates will focus their careers on teaching general education writing courses and on continuously developing their professional expertise as writing instructors. An MFA or PhD in Rhetoric/Composition, English, Writing or closely related field is required by time of employment, and graduate coursework in rhetoric and composition is desired.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Department of English seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Writing Studies beginning Fall 2018. Primary responsibilities include teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Desired specialties include one or more of the following: digital and multimedia rhetoric, online pedagogies, research methodologies, history of rhetoric, multilingual writing, technical communication, and writing program administration.
The Allan K. Smith Center for Writing and Rhetoric at Trinity College invites applications for a two-year, visiting assistant professor position, specializing in digital rhetoric, to begin fall 2018. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in first year composition and digital rhetoric. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition by July 1, 2018 (also considered: Ph.D. in English or related field with significant coursework or research in rhetoric and composition as well as teaching experience).
