The English Department at the University of Virginia invites applications for five non-tenure-track positions in Academic and Professional Writing to begin Fall 2017. These positions are three-year renewable appointments beginning at the rank of assistant professor, general faculty and are eligible for promotion to associate and full professor in the years that follow. We seek candidates with strong records as teachers of writing, with a Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric or terminal degree in a related field by the appointment start date.
We extended the deadline for submissions to the Sweetland Digital Rhetoric Collaborative Book Prize to March 1.

The University Writing Program at the University of California, Riverside, is seeking applicants for two-year, one-year, and part-time quarterly Lecturer positions with the possibility of renewal. Teaching assignments are in Freshman Composition and/or Entry-Level Writing classes, including ESL, in the 2017-18 academic year. At least an M.A. and two years of teaching experience at the college level are required for these appointments. Your completed application is due no later than March 20, 2017. These appointments are available pending approval of funding for the upcoming year.
