The Department of Humanities at Michigan Technological University invites applications for the position of Chair to begin in the 2009-10 academic year. We seek an individual with the vision and ability to lead a highly interdisciplinary department, continue the department’s prominence in scholarship, strengthen our doctoral program and undergraduate majors, and further our strong tradition of educational excellence.

Candidates should have an active and current research program, be committed to interdisciplinary inquiry, and have administrative experience.
