Essential functions (job duties) • serve as Director of the Writing Center • supervise the Writing Center • teach Writing Center related courses – ENG 6010, Tutoring Practicum, and [composition courses] • formulating WC policy and procedures to meet an expanded mission • developing a menu of writing workshops to be offered across the university • developing curricula for tutoring sessions • hiring and supervising a staff of undergraduate tutors • working with the cohort of graduate student tutors • developing ongoing training for WC tutors • developing an evaluation and assessment system • seeking resources to continue developing the Writing Center • supervising the day-to-day operations of the Writing Center

Qualifications • M.A. in English • specialization in composition/rhetoric • teaching experience in writing • administrative ability
