JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Rank: Assistant/Associate/Professor of English
Tenure-track position in Rhetoric and Composition, effective August 2010. Ph.D. is required. Four course per semester teaching load. Faculty teach freshman composition and humanities, and advanced writing, and rhetoric, as well as graduate courses. Responsibilities also include collaborative work on continuous pedagogical development and program assessment. Commitment to effective teaching, evidence of ongoing scholarly activity in the field and a record of publication and scholarly activity in nationally known presses and journals are a plus. Secondary interests: Professional and Technical Writing, Publishing and Design, Film Studies.
Candidate must communicate well in interview. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
