Essential Functions: Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load (includes freshman composition and other General Education courses, and undergraduate courses in subject area).
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in English or related field. Prior college-level teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: PhD or MFA from an accredited institution in English or related field, with specializations or graduate coursework in at least one of, and preferably two of the following: composition, professional/technical communication, and/or creative writing (playwriting/screenwriting, fiction, or poetry). Substantial college-level teaching experience. Evidence of teaching excellence and professional development.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2017. Three year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review.
Benefits Information: Benefits include the accumulation of one sick leave day per month and thirteen University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
