Faculty Specialist I – Rhetoric and Writing Studies

Western Michigan University invites applications for a one-year term appointment, at the rank of Faculty Specialist—Lecturer (FS I), to serve as a leave-of-absence replacement in Rhetoric and Writing Studies and to begin August 16, 2017.

Primary Duties: Teaching courses in the Department of English during fall and spring semesters to support its growing Rhetoric and Writing Studies program.

Required Qualifications: Open specialization with a Ph.D. or A.B.D. in Rhetoric and Writing Studies or closely related field (e.g., professional communication, rhetorical studies); proven record of undergraduate teaching excellence; demonstrated commitment to support the success of students from underrepresented groups.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package, $36,000.
