I'm pasting in a note from the 2007 WPA Summer Workshop leaders.--Shirley
All,
There are still a few seats left for the WPA Summer Workshop (held the Sunday-Wednesday, July 8-11) before next month's conference (July 12-15). For full details please see http://www.wpacouncil.org/conference2007
Susan Miller Cochran and I have been working hard to construct a thoughtful and useful agenda -- see below.
And workshop attendees get more than just Susan and Greg: we especially want to draw your attention to two special sessions:
On Tuesday, July 10, we're very fortunate to have a WPA from a relatively small university (Duku Anokye from the ASU West campus), a former WPA who is now a Dean (Dave Schwalm from the ASU Polytech campus), and the Chair of Mesa Community College's English Department, Jeff Andelora, who will lead a discussion on institutional contexts.
Also on Tuesday, former WPA and now Head of Humanities and Arts, ASU Polytech campus, Duane Roen, who will lead a discussion on curriculum and textbook selection.
We've pasted-in the daily schedule below, hope to see you there!
Best,
Greg Glau & Susan Miller-Cochran.
