Assistant/Associate Professor, English (Writing Studies)

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-line Assistant/Associate Professor of English, with a PhD in Rhetoric/Composition or a related field of writing studies with a firm theoretical grounding in rhetoric/composition.

In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, the new hire will have a 3/3 teaching assignment and will be expected to teach courses in first-year writing, advanced writing, upper-division technical / professional writing, and graduate courses in rhetoric. All candidates must have a PhD in Rhetoric/Composition with an emphasis in writing studies or a related field with a firm theoretical grounding in rhetoric/composition at time of appointment.

The strongest candidates will have scholarship and/or teaching experience in one or more of the following: global/intercultural rhetoric, Latino/a rhetoric, history of rhetoric, research methods, digital rhetoric, and/or technical/professional writing.
