Assistant Professor-English, Rhetoric and Composition
The Department of English at Western Carolina University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor, to begin August 2016.
At a minimum, applicants must have a Ph.D. with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition from an accredited institution by the beginning of the contract date. Candidates should have an established record of excellence in teaching composition. Area of specialization within Rhetoric and Composition is open, but the successful candidate will have a solid and verifiable foundation in the fundamentals of composition theory, a clearly articulated research agenda, and a committed interest in serving as WPA, ideally after tenure. Teaching load is generally 3/3 with course load reassignment opportunities for WPA.

Ph.D. required; ABD considered, if completion is imminent. Degree must be in hand by start date of August 1, 2016.
