Instructor Position, Emporia State University

Emporia State University invites application for a full-time instructor position in the composition program beginning August 2017. The teaching load for the instructor position is 12 hours per semester (a four-course teaching load) with a nine-month contract. Teaching and service are required. The salary for the position is $40,000, and it is a one-year renewable position.

A master’s level degree in English, or related discipline, must be completed by the time of appointment; PhD is preferred. Experience teaching first-year composition required. Additional experience with WAC/WID, working with multilingual writers (resident and/or international), professional/technical writing, and/or assessment is desirable.
