Director of Peer Tutoring at Butler University

The Department of English at Butler University invites applications for the position of Director of Peer Tutoring. This is a full-time, nine-month renewable appointment. The Director of Peer Tutoring will oversee the day-to-day operations of the tutoring center, hire and train tutors, act as liaison with the Director of the Writing Program, and teach a yearly course in peer tutoring. Additional teaching responsibilities will include first-year writing and courses aligned with the successful candidate’s experience (e.g. creative writing, advanced composition, or sophomore literature courses). Successful candidates will possess a PhD, MFA, or MA in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Creative Writing and appropriate administrative or practical experience working in a Writing Center or similar capacity.
