Assistant/Associate Professor, English (Technical/Professional Writing)

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-line Assistant or Associate of English with a specialization in Technical / Professional Writing.

In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, the new hire will have a 3/3 teaching assignment and will be expected to teach courses in the Technical & Professional Writing Minor, undergraduate writing studies, and graduate courses in the master’s program. All candidates must have a PhD in Technical Writing / Communication or Rhetoric / Composition with a specialization in Technical Writing / Communication at time of appointment.

We are interested in a candidate who can enhance our focus on technical/professional writing and emerging media in intercultural contexts. Experience in global professional communication, interdisciplinary work, and program development is desirable. 

The strongest candidates will have experience teaching in technology-rich environments, teaching online, integrating service-learning, and success working with underserved and non-traditional populations.
