- The WPA Guide contains information about the Council, WPA conferences, publications, initiatives, and history, as well as site FAQs.
- Forums provide space for site visitors, WPA members, committees, and the Executive Board to discuss WPA issues.
- The Network for Media Action is the Council's outreach effort and resource for discussions of writing and program administration in the media.
- WPA: Writing Program Administration is our refereed, scholarly journal.
- Journal archives--dating from the first issue in 1977--are available in PDF format. Only current WPA members can access the most recent issues.
- Join or renew your membership online with a credit card.
- The Consultant-Evaluator Service for Writing Programs helps colleges and universities develop and assess their writing programs.
- A new Job Board provides space for people to post and review job ads of interest to WPA members and others.

2009 WPA Institutes
WPA is delighted to offer two new day-long Institutes July 16:
- Writing Program Administrators as Writers, led by Nancy Sommers, offers a day-long writing workshop that will help WPAs pursue their writing projects in community, and make plans for moving their work toward publication.
- The WPA Renewal Institute, led by Susanmarie Harrington, Doug Hesse, and Duane Roen, serves the needs of experienced, mid-career WPAs looking to galvanize their teaching, administrative, and research interests in order to build future career possibilities.

Proposal
I've paid for membership, after several false tries, largely because I not able to figure out how to save a new password.
I've constructed and reconstructed my proposal for a conference paper. Each time when I have hit the "preview" button, the proposal has seemingly gone into Space. Fortunately, I have now saved segments in Word, and I can reconstruct it a third time if necessary.
Please let me know whether or not either proposal (they should be very close), came through, and if not, what I should do since the deadline is here.

Possible solution
Joyce-- the problem might be that you need to wait a while longer for the preview screen to come up after you click on "preview." Sometimes when I "create content," it takes up to a minute for the preview to appear.
