Montana State University
Founded in 1893 as a Land Grant University, Montana State University (MSU) is composed of nine academic colleges and a graduate school and boasts a friendly, supportive faculty and campus environment. The Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship (JJCBE)
The JJCBE offers a B.S. in Business with options in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree. The College will be moving into a new building designed specifically for the College in summer 2015. The Bracken Business Communications Clinic (BBCC) is open to JJCBE students. The mission of the BBCC is to improve JJCBE students’ communication skills and professionalism. BBCC coaches accomplish this through one-on-one and small group appointments with students to provide support and feedback. The BBCC is managed by the Director.
BBCC Director Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day BBCC operations, overseeing and developing coaches, teaching courses in the communication curriculum, collaborating with faculty to contribute to the JJCBE communication curriculum, and managing relationships between the BBCC and multiple constituencies. The appointment is 50% (.5) teaching and 50% (.5) administration of the BBCC. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Business Communications Curriculum and implement BBCC initiatives that support the curriculum goals of that person. The selected candidate will also connect to the larger writing and communication center communities to generate and test ideas to expand and improve the BBCC’s services in ways that further the College’s written and oral communication outcomes.
